Tan Hui Xian began her legal practice at Messrs. Chooi & Company, focusing primarily on civil, commercial, and corporate litigation. Working with both individual and corporate clients from all walks of life honed her advocacy, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, shaping her into a courageous and diligent litigator.

Driven by a desire to contribute to humanity, Tan Hui Xian later joined United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). This invaluable experience cultivated deeper empathy and further strengthened her commitment to advocating for the rights of the underprivileged.

With renewed passion, Tan Hui Xian has now returned to legal practice, offering her professional services mainly in criminal defence, criminal advisory, and public interest litigation.

Outside of work, Tan Hui Xian enjoys playing sports, and is a member of the Malaysian Bar Ladies’ Football Team. She also loves exploring good food, coffee, and music — simple pleasures that continue to motivate her to excel in legal practice!
